Cottages or apartments?
Our five cottages are at the farm in Kewstoke, a quiet village on the coast two miles north of Weston. They suit families, dog owners and anyone who wants countryside and a beach at the end of the lane. The apartments are in Weston-super-Mare itself, a few minutes from the seafront, with dedicated parking, and they suit one or two people who want to be close to the town, the station and the shops.
How pricing works for monthly stays in Weston-super-Mare
Every longer booking is quoted individually. The main things that affect the price are the property, the time of year and the length of the stay. Winter and early spring are generally the best value, while summer school holidays are the busiest time for shorter breaks. Monthly stays versus a rental tenancy
A standard rental means a twelve-month tenancy, a deposit, references, a credit check and an unfurnished property you have to fill. Utilities, broadband and council tax are all separate bills to set up. Monthly stays with us skip all of that. The cottage or apartment is furnished and equipped, the bills are included in the price, and you can stay for a month, extend, or move on when your plans firm up. For anyone in transition, that flexibility is worth a great deal.
The trade-off is that a monthly stay costs more per week than a long tenancy would once you are settled. It is the right choice for a period of change rather than a permanent home, which is exactly what most of our longer-stay guests are going through.
Monthly stays versus a hotel
Hotels charge by the night and add up fast over four weeks, with every meal bought and no washing machine. A whole cottage or apartment with a kitchen, a living room and laundry works out considerably cheaper for a month, and it feels like living somewhere rather than visiting. The difference is starkest for families, who would otherwise need two or three hotel rooms.
Working from home during monthly stays
Many of our longer-stay guests work remotely for part of the week. Every property has fast Wi-Fi and a table to work at, and the bigger cottages have enough rooms to shut a door on a video call. Weston has cafés with good coffee for a change of scene, and the seafront is a ten-minute walk from the apartments for a lunchtime break. Bristol is half an hour by train for office days.
Bringing the family and the dog
Our cottages sleep from two to ten and every one is dog friendly with an enclosed garden, so a month here does not mean leaving anyone behind. Schools and nurseries in Kewstoke, Worle and Weston are within a few minutes, and the beach at Sand Bay is at the end of the lane. For families between homes, that continuity matters.

Is there a minimum length?
Our longer-stay pricing generally starts at around four weeks, but shorter stays are always available at the normal rate. Tell us what you need and we will quote accordingly.
Can I extend?
Usually, yes. Extensions are arranged directly with us and depend on availability, so the earlier you ask the better. With several properties together at the farm we can often move things around.
Are bills included?
Yes. Electricity, heating, water, Wi-Fi and parking are all part of the price for monthly stays.
What about cleaning and linen?
Fresh linen and towels are provided at the start of the stay. Ask us about mid-stay cleans and linen changes for longer bookings and we will include them in the quote.
Living in Weston for a month
A month here is long enough to enjoy the place properly. Walk Sand Point before work, swim in the Marine Lake on a summer evening, do the best local walks at the weekend and get to know the cafés on the seafront. Our experiences page lists more than thirty places within half an hour.
Monthly stays: a few more practical points
Post can be delivered to the cottage or apartment for the length of your stay, and parcels are safe with us at the farm if you are out. The bins are collected weekly and we tell you which day. Supermarkets in Weston deliver to all of our properties. Doctors’ surgeries and a dentist are within ten minutes, and Weston General Hospital has an accident and emergency department.
For anyone on monthly stays with children, the local primary schools in Kewstoke and Worle and the secondary schools in Weston are all a short drive away, and North Somerset Council handles temporary school places. If you are house hunting, the estate agents cluster around the town centre and Worle, and we are always happy to share what we know about the villages.
